Colin Wu
Vice President for Journal & Publication
Dr. Wu is senior Mathematical Statistician at the National Heart,
Lung and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health (NHLBI/NIH)
and Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, The George Washington
University and University of Maryland School of Medicine. He received
B.S. (1985) in Mathematics from the University of California, Los
Angeles, and Ph.D. (1990) in statistics from the University of
California, Berkeley. His past experience include academic positions
at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and the Johns Hopkins
University. His research interests are on statistical analyses for
longitudinal data and biased sampling data, statistical methods for
clinical trials and observational studies, statistical estimation and
inferences for semiparametric and nonparametric models, survival
analysis and statistical modeling in genetic epidemiology. Dr. Wu has
extensive collaborative experience with hematologists, cardiologists,
radiologists and other scientists at the National Institutes of
Health and academic institutions. He has published extensively in top
ranking statistical and biomedical journals. He has served as Guest
Co-Editor for Statistics in Medicine, Associate Editor for
Biometrics, Data Monitoring Committee member for the U.S. Department
of Veterans Affairs, and Independent Statistical Expert for the
Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). He
is Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute and
Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
