Jason P. Estes

Council Member (2017 – 2020)

Jason Estes joined Pratt & Whitney as a statistician after his postdoc at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his PhD in Biostatistics at the University of California, Los Angeles and also received his MS and BS in mathematics at the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. His research interests are in semi-parametric statistics, empirical Bayes shrinkage estimation, and time-dynamic profiling of medical facilities. His applied work at Pratt & Whitney spans several areas, including of, but not limited to survival analysis, functional data analysis, longitudinal data analysis and machine learning.
