Nathan Lally

Council Member

Nathan Lally is an engineering statistician at Pratt & Whitney. His current work involves design and analysis of engineering experiments, time-to-event analysis, reliability analysis, Bayesian inference and decision problems, and predictive modeling. In addition, he recently taught ‘Introduction to Biostatistics for Health Professionals’ as an adjunct instructor at the University of Connecticut. Nathan has prior experience in actuarial research, presenting papers at the annual Actuarial Research Conference on predictive modeling in long-term care insurance and spatiotemporal modeling of damages to electrical infrastructure. He continues to collaborate with actuarial researchers on topics surrounding loss reserve prediction. Nathan holds undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Mathematics/Statistics from the University of Connecticut as well as an MS in Mathematics.
