Dr. Shan Xiao is Associate Director, Statistics at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where he accomplished NDA
submission to multiple regulatory agencies and GCP inspection from different health authorities in
hematology rare disease area. Prior to Takeda, Shan worked at Biogen from Sr. Biostatistician to
Principal Biostatistician and received strict training in the application of statistics into neurology
and dermatology clinical trials. Shan received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Indiana University,
School of Medicine in 2017 with dissertation topic of Bayesian design and analysis of cluster randomized trials.
Prior to that, Shan received his M.S. degree in Public Health and B.S. degree in Mathematics from Southeast University
at Nanjing, China. His research interests include Bayesian statistics, clinical trial, Statistical GNG decision making
and simulation.
