Alex Young
Vice President for Education
Alex Young is an Undergraduate Advisor and Lecturer in the Harvard University Statistics
Department. He received his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Arizona followed
by a postdoctoral research position at Duke University. Since joining Harvard, he has many
undergraduate research projects and has developed two undergraduate courses in i) Unsupervised
Learning and ii) Spatial Statistics. His research interests include Bayesian modeling, MCMC, and
many topics involving applied probability.
